What Could/Should Curating Do?
EVA International is delighted to announce its ongoing partnership with What Could/Should Curating Do? – a curatorial course programme initiated in 2018, hosted in the city of Belgrade.
Inviting applications from emerging curators internationally, the 2019 programme will draw upon the unique local and regional context of the Balkans as a critical source of knowledge and implication for curatorial and organisational practice. Participants on the programme will have the opportunity to engage with many leading professionals in the field of contemporary curating, including Luca Lo Pinto (Kunshtalle Wien, Vienna); Charles Esche (Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven); Zdenka Badovinac (Moderna Galerija, Ljubljana); Nikita Yingqian Cai (Times Museum, Guangzhou); Ares Shporta (Lumbardhi Foundation, Prizren); Dan Cameron (New York); Matt Packer (EVA International, Limerick); Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev (Castello di Rivoli, Turin); and others. The curriculum also includes weekly writing assignments, presentations, studio visits, institutional visits, lectures, and mentoring sessions with local and international practitioners. During the programme, participants will propose and develop a collective exhibition project for realisation.
