Programme Assistant Work Placement

EVA is seeking a Programme Assistant to undertake a 6 month work placement during the 40th EVA International – Ireland’s Biennial of Contemporary Art, which opens across Limerick city from 31 August through to 29 October 2023. The role is open to eligible candidates of the Work Placement Experience Programme (WPEP) initiative, led by the Department of Social Protection (DSP). EVA leads in the commissioning and curating of contemporary art by Irish and international artists, culminating in a programme of artistic encounters, exhibitions, and education projects, that takes place every two years across venues in Limerick city and beyond. The selected candidate will develop skills through the following activities:

  • Assisting in the planning and coordination of scheduled 40th EVA International public events;
  • Providing administrative support to the EVA production team on the delivery of the 40th EVA International;
  • Providing operational support to the EVA venue team, managing the daily routine of appointed 40th EVA International exhibition and event venues;
  • Enhancing visitor engagement at the 40th EVA international, mediating artwork with visiting public audiences, assisting with on-site activities including tours and talks.
