#5 Orla Barry’s artwork co-commissioned by EVA for the 39th edition, SPIN SPIN SCHEHERAZADE tours Ireland

  • SPIN SPIN SCHEHERAZADE is a live artwork by Orla Barry, performed by Einat Tuchman her longstanding collaborator that was co-commissioned by EVA for the 39th edition. It blends autofiction and oral history to create a humorous and passionate monologue. The performance is rooted in an artistic form of ‘barefoot anthropology’, recounting Barry’s tenuous interactions with the land, farming, man, and animal. It reflects on the culture of disconnection from the natural world and the boundaries of art and the rural every day. For further information and tour dates please click here.

  • We’re delighted to welcome new team members Dylan Ryan (Visitor Engagement Manager), Fiona Gordon (Communications Coordinator) and Helena Czernecka (Artist Liaison) who have recently joined the 40th EVA International team.
