A screening programme of works by Irish & international artists as part of the 40th EVA International held at Belltable featuring Surrender Your Horns, 2022 by Bryony Dunne on 1 September 2023.
Surrender Your Horns, a feature film that started with a lonesome Irish man snorting a substance of powdered horn, who then undergoes a bestial metamorphosis. The work combined documentary footage with absurdist performances of unicorn nightclubbers, reproductive biologists, and horn smugglers.
Bryony Dunne is a visual artist and filmmaker who lives in Wicklow (IE) and Athens (GR). Dunne has presented work at public arts institutions and galleries including Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht (NL), DEPO Istanbul (TR) and Gypsum Gallery, Cairo (EG).
