78 Exhibition

The ’78 Exhibition sought to build on the success of the ’77 Exhibition, and made clear its plans to be annual event “showing works by contemporary visual artists” [taken from the introduction to EVA 1978 catalogue].

Artists submitted work through an open call process, selected and adjudicated by Adrian Hall, Colin Murray, and Charles Harper. Prizes were offered to six artworks in categories of Painting, Sculpture and Graphics. Prize funds were generously donated by R.T.E., Mid West Branch of the Royal Institute of Architects, Aughinish Alumina Ireland.
