Thomond Primary School Gardening Club in collaboration with Deirdre O’Mahony and Hometree

Snaky River Forest, 2023

A permanent micro-forest and biodiversity haven, planted on the grounds of Thomond Primary School, Limerick. The design of the so-called Snaky River Forest was developed by the school’s gardening club, in collaboration with the artist Deirdre O’Mahony and Hometree, a charity dedicated to establishing and conserving permanent native Irish woodland. Thomond Primary School Gardening Club also contributed a collage that maps the Snakey River Forest, which was presented at Ormston House.
