NО̄, 2003
A 16 mm film inspired by the freestyle form of Japanese flower arranging, No-no Ikebana (‘Ikebana of agriculture’), in which the farmer draws inspiration from materials on the farm. In NО̄ we see farmers in costumes perform a choreographed version of their daily work within the fixed frame of the camera. NО̄ was screened as part of EVA at Belltable programme on 28 October as part of the 40th EVA International closing weekend.
