In my work I try to unravel the commonplace, to reconfigure the inherent structure or codes from which we, as social and political animals, construct and deconstruct the world around us. For example, we may value freedom, space and beauty, yet our actions speak of the opposite. Perhaps if we instead value war and persecution, and aspire to ugliness, then we may be great.
