Robin Parmar
b. 1963, Ireland
The lights sang to me. So I took their song and made it my own. At times near silent, and at other times resonating energetically with the structure of Room 7, the resulting sounds reward attention and repeated encounters. The space of the room has become an augmented field, a world of sonic gestures magnified by subjectivity. If you stop paying attention, the world disappears. If the world stops attending, we vanish in turn.
