The photographs depict the crossbar of a goal post in a playing field I used to pass on a daily basis. When making these images, I was interested in how the residue of a functional activity, i.e. tape being stuck to a post over a period of time could also become a reflection upon the instantaneous nature of photography. I generally make my photographs in pairs or friezes to create a kind of filmic logic, where spatial and sequential connections are formed between images.
