Some motivations and strategies when considering space:

Negating a sense of dislocation
Creating a sense of location
Locating myself Building a space
Tag an existing space
Denying a space
Placing and curating objects
Confronting a space
Using space to house my own hope, humour and failure

These and other strategies help my attempts to make bold statements out of the ordinary, insignificant or forgotten. My work to date has encompassed painting, sculpture, sound, video, installation and web-based projects. In this somewhat disparate practice, investigations into drawing and space act as a common denominator. Much of my work originates from investigations into a sense of place and how it is intrinsic to, or even formed by our relationships with the object world.

As I continue to redefine the parameters of drawing within my practice, this work endeavours to question the use of line to describe space in both real and illusory terms.
