Three drawings from an ongoing series that reflected on the artist’s connection with Tripura community in South-Eastern Bangladesh. The work explored themes of dislocated identity and climate crisis, the drawings traced indigenous beliefs and spiritual survival against the forces of modernity.
Joydeb Roaja is a visual artist who lives in Chittagong (BD). Roaja has presented work at public arts institutions and galleries including Jhaveri Contemporary, Mumbai (IN), Dhaka Art Summit (BD) and Kathmandu Triennale (NP).
