After being invited to participate in ev+a show, we decided to make an intimate connection with the exhibition city by choosing a relatively unknown Limerick-based athlete, adopting him as their own, and creating an internet fansite in his honor. Powerlifter Liam Beville was selected, and in an act of reciprocity has agreed to wear the school’s name on his powerlifting suit during future competitions. In the end, it’s hard to say who is being more generous. Liam, a remarkable man with a big heart, gains a fan club and public exposure, and the ISA gains a source of advertising as well as a prominent spot in ev+a.
