Nameless Syndrome, 2023, Sound Garden, 2019, Almost One, 2018, + sculptural works from the Sensory Function series, 2023.

Three video works that tested possibilities and limitations of the documentary form. Nameless Syndrome, a video essay on an unidentifiable illness, explored the chasm between medical observation and patient experience. Almost One meditated on the relationship between socialisation, performativity, and truth in a children’s acting class. A third work, Sound Garden, alternated scenes of large-trees being transported, with interviews of South Korean mental health counsellors reflecting on their counselling work. In addition to the three videos works, four sculptural works – each a miniature hospital bed – were discretely installed across venues in the city. Almost One and Sound Garden were screened as part of EVA at Belltable programme on 2 September 2023 as part of the 40th EVA International opening weekend.
