Seaweed Story, 2022 + series of ‘Seaweed’ sculptures.
Films and objects related to the collective’s research focused on seaweeds and haenyeo (female divers who harvest marine products). Blurring the distinction between life and art, the works were produced through a process of land cultivation and collaboration with local growers and harvesters on Jeju Island, South Korea.
ikkibawiKrrr (Jungwon Kim, Jieun Cho and Gyeol Ko) is a research band based in Seoul (KR). They have presented work at public arts institutions and galleries including documenta fifteen, Kassel (DE), Eastside Projects, Birmingham (UK) and Centre Pompidou, Paris (FR).
