Songs from the compost: mutating bodies, imploding stars.

A film shot in the forests and sand dunes around Nida Art Colony in Lithuania, featuring a cast of teenage dancers who wore costumes that have partly-decomposed. The performers enacted fleshy becomings and un-becomings in a series of choreographed rituals with the natural non-human world. Songs from the compost: mutating bodies, imploding stars was screened as part of EVA at Belltable programme on 28 October as part of the 40th EVA International closing weekend.
