The Leidsche Rijn housing project is currently under construction in Utrecht. 30,000 houses are being built in what is the biggest housing development in the Netherlands and in Europe in the 90tis. The first buyers have already moved into their new homes however Leidsche Rijn will take at least another ten years to be finished. In the coming few years, Leidsche Rijn will be characterised by simultaneous living and building in a transitional phase.
project nr. 3015 is a video interview with the future residents of the new estate, talking about the interior of their own homes, which form the backdrop to the videos. They are projecting their thoughts and wishes onto the unfinished concrete structure, creating a fantasy home of their own.
project nr. 3015 was originally part of a bigger project HOME.DESIGN.SERVICE, produced with CASCO Projects in 2001.
