41st EVA Platform Commission – Bridget O’Gorman

In early March, a group of artists, writers and curators, including Bridget O’Gorman, D. Mortimer, Deirdre O’Mahony, Hannah Wallis, Iarlaith Ní Fheorais, Libita Sibungu, Onyeka Igwe and Taey Iohe, gathered for a slow retreat at Common Knowledge, Co.Clare as part of Bridget O’Gorman’s EVA Platform Commission and research project, Deep Time.

Over three days, the group took part in readings, screenings, sharings and exercises around questions of how we contextualise time in relation to an artistic practice.

Deep Time is a nonconforming intersectional research project that seeks to invoke the notion of cosmic time amassed through geological formation to initiate new dialogues around time and its relationship to creative productivity.

Deep Time will culminate in a newly commissioned website, designed by Take Courage which will feature new micro-commissions, writing and a podcast series to be launched during 41st EVA International.

Supported by the Arts Council and field:arts.
