41st EVA International Partnership with Colm Keady-Tabbal and Beirut Art Center

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Colm Keady-Tabbal and Beirut Art Center as part of the 41st EVA International – Ireland’s Biennial of Contemporary Art.

The partnership involves the commission of a sign in both Irish and Arabic, that will be installed simultaneously in Limerick, Ireland and Beirut, Lebanon. The new work forms part of the 41st EVA Platform Commissions programme taking place from 29 August through to 26 October, 2025.

Colm Keady-Tabbal is an Irish Lebanese artist based in Dublin and New York. Their work addresses the aesthetics and politics of memorialisation, propaganda and other forms of knowledge production. Working across installation, moving image, sound, performance and writing their practice engages with modalities of psychological warfare, control systems and the politics of public and private space, often appropriating the forms and language of existing media and infrastructure. Their architectural and environmental interventions operate across multiple geographies and timescales, deploying rumours, abstraction and para-fiction to examine sites of clandestine experiments in artistic, industrial, and military contexts.

Their work has been exhibited and performed at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, IRCAM festival, The Douglas Hyde Gallery, The Wallach Gallery, Cork Centre for Architectural Education and Galway Arts Centre. They received an MFA from Columbia University School of the Arts and are currently a resident at the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
