39th EVA International Publications Launch
EVA Office and Archive, 1st Floor, 46-47 Catherine Street, Limerick city
The release of two new publications that mark the 39th EVA International (2020-2021) will take place at the EVA Office and Archive on Thursday 14 July at 5pm.
The 39th EVA International occurred as three exhibition ‘phases’ from September 2020 through to November 2021. It was an historical edition and perhaps the most expansive in the history of the organisation, consisting of 23 weeks of programme, across 13 venues, offsite locations, and online platforms. It was also the first edition to have coincided with a global pandemic.
The 39th EVA International exhibition catalogue provides an overview of the work of all participating artists and research projects that comprised the 39th EVA International programme. The contents include an introductory text by Matt Packer (Director, EVA International), an introductory essay by Nathan O’Donnell and authored texts on each of the artists’ presentations, alongside photographic documentation and details of public programme activity.
The Guest Programme publication Little did they know, edited by curator Merve Elveren, brings together additional content about the four invited research projects Betsy Damon Archive: Keepers of the Waters (Chengdu and Lhasa) led by Asia Art Archive; Reconciliation of Blood Feuds Campaign 1990-1991, led by Erëmirë Krasniqi (Kosovo Oral History Initiative); We realised the power of it – Derry Film and Video Workshop led by Sara Greavu and Ciara Phillips; and Sexuality of a Nation: Lionel Soukaz and Liberation Politics led by Paul Clinton.
€20.00 + postage / packing. Both publications are included in the price and sold as a pair. Please email (firstname.lastname@example.org) for purchase enquiries.
