Yael Bartana (b. 1970, Israel) lives and works in Amsterdam and Tel Aviv. Her solo exhibitions include the Moderna Museet, Malmö; the Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw; PS1, New York; Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv; Kunstverein, Hamburg and Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven. She participated in the Sao Paolo Biennial (2010 and 2006); Documenta 12, Kassel and the Istanbul Biennial. In 2011, Yael Bartana represented Poland for the 54th edition of the Venice Biennial. Among other prizes, Yael Bartana was awarded the prestigious Artes Mundi 4 in 2010. Her work has been included in numerous public collections, amongst others at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Tate Modern, London and Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven.

Oliver Ressler (b. 1970, Austria) lives and works as an artist and filmmaker in Vienna. His projects have been in solo exhibitions at the Berkeley Art Museum, USA; Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Center, Istanbul; Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade; Kunstraum at the University of Lüneburg; Centro Cultural Conde Duque, Madrid; Alexandria Contemporary Arts Forum, Egypt and Bunkier Sztuki Contemporary Art Gallery, Krakow. He has participated in more than 200 group exhibitions including MASS MoCA, USA; Itaú Cultural Institute, Sao Paulo; National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens; Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven and biennials in Prague, Seville, Moscow, Taipei and Lyon. For the Taipei Biennale 2008, Ressler curated an exhibition on the anti-globalization movement, A World Where Many Worlds Fit.

Marcel Broodthaers (b. 1924 Belgium, d. 1976, Germany) was originally a surrealist poet. Broodthaers founded a fictitious museum, the Musée d'Art Moderne, Département des Aigles, through which he organised exhibitions, publications, and films. Broodthaers was among the first artists to question the role of the institution, display, and text in an art object's reception. He died in 1976. In 1987, Benjamin H.D. Buchloh edited an anthology of Broodthaers's writing and interviews. The Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, and the Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels have hosted solo exhibitions of his work.

Fergus Daly (b. Ireland) has a background in English Literature and Philosophy and has a particular interest in the relationship between Philosophy and Artist's Film. He is the co-author of Leos Carax (Manchester University Press 2003) and has contributed essays to the books Movie Mutations (BFI 2003) and Jean-Luc Godard: Documents (Centre Pompidou 2007). He has also contributed to Cahiers du Cinéma, Senses of Cinema and Radical Philosophy, amongst other publications. His films and videos include Abbas Kiarostami: the Art of Living (co-directed with Pat Collins), Experimental Conversations (2006), Crimson: An Irish Trakl (2006), The Art of Time (2009) and Outliving Dracula: Le Fanu's Carmilla (2010) (both co-directed with Katherine Waugh), Matter & Memory (2010) and Armand Gatti: Welcome to our Battle of Images (2009). He is the co-director of the Different Directions Experimental Film Festival in Galway and was recently awarded first prize at Claremorris Open Exhibition by Chris Hammond, Director of MOT Gallery, London.
Katherine Waugh (b. Ireland) is a writer and filmmaker based in the west of Ireland. She has contributed to a number of art and film publications, and regularly writes for national and international artists' catalogues. She has a background in Philosophy and Critical Theory, has a particular interest in time-based media, and has taught courses on the relationship between philosophy and contemporary art. She is the co-director of The Art of Time (2009) and Outliving Dracula: Le Fanu's Carmilla (2010) and producer of Matter & Memory (2010) and Armand Gatti: Welcome to our Battle of Images (2009). Her films have screened internationally, in galleries and festivals in New York, Paris and at the ICA London. She is the co-director of the Different Directions Experimental Film Festival in Galway.

Priscila Fernandes (b.1981, Portugal) is a Portuguese artist based in the Netherlands. Her work has been recently included in exhibitions such as “Abstract Possible: Stockholm Synergies” at Tensta Kontshall, Stockholm; “Prix de Rome” at Smart Project Space, Amsterdam; Museu da Electricidade, Lisbon; Four Gallery and The Lab (Dublin). She is the winner of the prestigious “Prémio EDP Novos Artistas” (Portugal), as well as receiving the “Basicprijzen” from Prix de Rome (Netherlands). In 2010, she was awarded a “Startstipend” from Fonds BKVB (Amsterdam). She was a guest resident at the Prix de Rome studios - Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (Amsterdam) and IASPIS (Stockholm) in 2011.

Soren Thilo Funder (b. 1979, Denmark) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. Funder graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2008 and studied at The School of Art and Architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2006. He has been an artist-in-residency at SOMA in Mexico City, Townhouse Gallery in Cairo, Frankfurter Kunstverein in Frankfurt am Main and Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Center in Istanbul. He was furthermore represented at the 12th Istanbul Biennial, VII Shiryaevo Biennale of Contemporary Art, 2nd International Moscow Biennial for Young Art, Manifesta 8 – Parallel Events and 6th International Liverpool Biennial. Sanja Iveković (b. 1949, Zagreb) studied graphics at the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts from 1968 to 1971. KwieKulik (Zofia Kulik & Przemysław Kwiek) (b.1947/1945, Poland) operated as the collaborative duo KwieKulik from 1971-1987. Kulik and Kwiek studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The duo were prominent members of the eastern European neo avant-garde 1970s movement and initiated a private gallery in their home – Atelier of Activities, Documentation and Propagation, in which they organized lectures, exhibitions, and embarked on the documentation of artistic life in the 1970/80s. The series of activities realized by KwieKulik includes: Chaltury (Hackwork Jobs), Earning and Creating, Visual Games, Political Spectaculars. Activities with Dobromierz has had much international publicity in recent years including showings at Documenta XII in Kassel, Zak Branicka 2010 and XI Biennale in Istanbul 2009. Since 1988 both artists have worked independently.

Gavin Murphy (b.1973, Ireland) is a Dublin-based artist and curator with a long engagement with artist-led projects and collaborative initiatives. He is currently a director/curator of the artist–run space, Pallas Projects/Studios, was co-coordinator of House Projects – a series of seven exhibitions in New York, London and Ireland, and was editor of the accompanying 200–page publication. He is the recipient of various Arts Council awards, and residencies at Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces, Melbourne, and Fire Station Artists’ Studios, Dublin. His series of works ‘On Seeing Only Totally New Things’ includes the exhibition ‘Remember’ at Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane and a forthcoming publication in collaboration with design studio Atelier David Smith.

Deirdre A Power (b. 1963, Ireland) graduated from Limerick School of Art & Design in 1985 with an NDAD in Painting and continued studies in Painting & Photography at State University of New York in 1994. Graduated First Class Honours 2011, Masters in Art and Design, Social Practice and the Creative Environment, MA SPACE at Limerick School of Art and Design. Has exhibited widely and is represented by the Phatory Gallery in New York. Exhibitions include EVA, Kilkenny Arts Festival, RHA, The Phatory, New York and Triskel Art Centre.National Self Portrait Collection. Has received numerous awards and residencies including Mac Dowell Colony Residency in New Hampshire, USA.
Jacki Hehir (b. 1976, Ireland) graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design in 2011, with a first class honours Masters of Arts, Social Practice and the Creative Environment (MASPACE). Background education in Photography, received a BA in 2009 from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology. She has exhibited in the U.K. and Ireland and has received awards for her positive representations of the Travelling Community in Ireland and for her performance as an undergraduate in the Nikon Discovery Expo, London 2008. Now works on an ongoing basis with community based, not for profit, N.G.O. The Woodland League.

Alice Rekab (b.1987, Ireland) is a visual artist living and working in Dublin and London. She completed an MA in Contemporary Art Theory at Goldsmiths University of London, following a BA in History of Art & Fine. Art Media at NCAD. Recent projects include: The Lir Academy Dublin; The Model, Sligo; Barbican Art Gallery; Resonance FM at Frieze Art Fair,. Her forthcoming solo exhibition will open at The Return Gallery Dublin in September 2012.

Laura Smith (b. 1986, Ireland) is based in Dublin. Smith graduated in 2010 with a First Class Honours in Fine Art from Dublin Institute of Technology. She is currently undertaking her Masters in Art in the Contemporary World (ACW) at NCAD which will conclude in a solo exhibition of works in late 2012.

Faber Studios (Caelan Bristow, Marie Connole, Aaron Lawless) is an artist collective, studio and exhibition space based in Limerick City. Their aim is to promote and facilitate object-based sculpture, mixed media work, and new directions in contemporary art. Alongside encouraging individual art practice they are committed to furthering the visibility and value of local creative practitioners in Limerick. Utilising their city centre location, the public may avail of all events presented. Faber Studios runs an Artists Talk Series every year and hosts Open Studio days which allow the public to experience a working artist’s studio first-hand. They facilitate exhibitions, events and projects by new and established artists, LSAD students, and continue initiating projects with community groups in Limerick
